Podcasts and 3D Models

Pupil-produced podcasts explore historical artefacts in the school collection connected to class and colonialism. 3D artefact models accompanying the podcasts have been produced by colleagues in the Art and Computer Science departments at Rugby.

Besides deepening our understanding of the collection, and making it available to a wider audience, the podcasts hope to facilitate critical engagement with artefacts from perspectives of materiality, history, and archival studies.

As is discussed in the podcasts, few of the objects have any recorded provenance. The artefacts are currently used for educational purposes as part of the project, and a scheme of work is being developed to accompany them. The debate around repatriation is discussed by a Year 13 pupil in this blog post.
